Enjoy our G50 M350 3 Series preview renderings, based off the latest spied prototype.

Here's our latest G50 3-Series info / specs from the Future BMW Models Info Thread

G50/G51 3 Series
  • In production 11/26-10/34
  • Intro models: worldwide 318, 320, M350 xDrive; US 330, 330 xDrive, M350 xDrive.
  • 03/27: adds worldwide 320 xDrive.
  • 07/27: adds worldwide 330e.
  • 11/27: adds worldwide 330.
  • The above lineup and schedule are preliminary and may be incomplete (e.g. the fate of diesels is currently unknown)
  • With the exception of smaller wheels of different design (18" standard on regular models, 19" standard on M50), the feature set will be virtually the same as NA0 below.
  • NA0 and G50 are being designed to look very similar to each other - to the point that they're even sharing wheel options. Though NA0 will likely be considered a bit more upscale. Little details like both will get the fancy multifunction seats but only NA0 will include the massage function.
  • Dates for NA0 production adjusted above: non-US starts in 07/26, not in 11/26 as previously specified, and production ends in 10/34, the same time as G50.
  • Dingolfing production confirmed for G50.

Keeping in mind these are for the ICE variant (longer hood), I’m thinking the design language will look best on the pure-EV model - both will look tits, I’m sure.

…though I do miss that uninterrupted swage line from front to back.

Let the countdown begin !

Overall it has some pretty good lines. I don't love the caved in hood geometry and it just looks slightly off (but its a render, so it may very well be slightly off).

I think thats really my only gripe on the exterior - happy to see a non full width lightbar for the brake/tail lights, that is a horribly annoying trend (especially driving behind cars that have it in the fog).

Overall despite the many changes this feels more like a cohesive evolution than I initially expected it to visually.

Thanks for the pictures!
Although the design now clearly looks like an EV, I like most of it. Knowing that these are not final images, I don't like the rear view. Mainly because of the light signature. I find it disproportionate to the rest of the rear design.

It does look like a 2013 Lincoln with the split grill indeed. The rest of the car looks OK.

This is a tough job. Make it too conservative and people start yelling it looks like a Kia as people have echoed with the new Audi sedans. Then there is the need to make it look different than past products.

I remember when people were trolling the E60 with photos of the then current Pontiac GTO. It did look like a Pontiac. Haha.

This will sell although I wonder how the car will age as those headlamps eat thousands of miles of road rash and UV exposure.

Hmm! M340 with quad-exhaust tips! Okay!! I'm betting the ICE version will have over 400Hp,...and the M3 (ICE) will be above 550Hp,...possibly around 580Hp. I don't think BMW will have it above 600Hp,...as it would be quicker than the M5!

Let's GO!

The 'headlight assembly' will most likely age similar to the current BMW models with incased in a headlight housing unit.

I feel like with each new generation we should be seeing a more intricate or detailed design, whether it be lighting details, body design etc.

But all I see with these are cheap, cost cutting type designs that are meant to look expensive or luxurious. But clearly does not.

Eh, personally I’m not sure why anything in these drawings would excite me greatly. It’s a nice car, looking forward to the interior and hoping that stays premium and not plastic, but aren’t there already a lot of nice cars and is bmw going to want north if $70k for a base 350M? Not sure that’s the ticket I want to punch.

Maybe time to look into an suv, as so far I think the renderings of the future x3 and x4 are more intriguing.
