ID8 Key PCB

Has anyone tried a teardown of their ID8 key yet?

I’m trying to retrofit an ID8 key to my M2 comp, but I’m not sure if the new key uses the same ID49 chip the previous gen key (the metal X5M key everyone uses for their retrofit) did.

I’ve seen some aftermarket ID8 keys out there that use ID49 chip, but I’m not sure if the OEM PCB has the same chip.

Thank you for this information.

I guess I'll have to use an aftermarket PCB inside an OEM key..
