I'm worried. That M3 is going to cost a whole lot more if all goes through like planned for now. And not for anything extra or better on the car. It will definitely make someone like myself look at other alternatives. And maybe that's the point. It is what it is and we have a choice to buy or not.

Man you didn't have that Tesla long. How do you like the i4? Especially compared to the Tesla?

And thanks to Trump, these cars will be 25% more expensive in the US than they should be.

Had it about 6 months…just couldn’t stand being associated with the brand on a daily basis. Lost my ass on it but glad to have moved away from it. I put my thoughts on the two in a thread over here on the i4 section:

Well you’ll get to pay $10k more now anyway 🙃

Ha I got $10k plus off my M4. It was also a June 23 production of a 2024 model year right before the base price hike, so it was closer to $12k off!

Nice!
I’m referring to coming price increases due to tarrifs. Same M2, higher price.

Still in Germany. The Munich plant is ready for them and it needs the output since it will only make EVs. Now the regular ICE M3, that's a different story. Still Germany, but likely Dingolfing

Back on the models I assume the m350 will be similar to the x3m50 I.e b58 in a higher state of tune with maybe a slightly bigger mild hybrid? I'm guessing 420bhpish and 430 ftlb is?

NA0/NA1 i3 Sedan
  • In production 07/26-10/34 for Europe, US models start 11/26.
  • Model range: 20, 40, 40 xDrive, 50, 50 xDrive, M60 xDrive
  • Will be made in Germany and SLP (SLP starts with one year delay).
  • Will include ZA0 M3 and ZA1 M3 Touring.

G50/G51 3 Series
  • In production 11/26-10/34
  • Intro models: worldwide 318, 320, M350 xDrive; US 330, 330 xDrive, M350 xDrive.
  • 03/27: adds worldwide 320 xDrive.
  • 07/27: adds worldwide 330e.
  • 11/27: adds worldwide 330.
  • The above lineup and schedule are preliminary and may be incomplete (e.g. the fate of diesels is currently unknown)

Similarities / Differences:

Just like BMW signaled, NA0 and G50 are being designed to look very similar to each other - to the point that they're even sharing wheel options. Though NA0 will likely be considered a bit more upscale. Little details like both will get the fancy multifunction seats but only NA0 will include the massage function.

Dates for NA0 i3 production adjusted above: non-US starts in 07/26, not in 11/26 as previously specified, and production ends in 10/34, the same time as G50 3 Series.
Good list, but so far, no G51 approved.

Yeah, I think it's safe to remove it from my list now - Tourings are released within a year after the sedan, and the timeline would require some new traces of G51 to show up in the places where I'm not seeing them right now.

That’s been a pretty underwhelming move, hasn’t it? I think they saw the mistake. I don’t see BMW doing that.

Is there a G84 M3 planned? When? I thought there will be both gas and electric M3’s.
