Cannot wait for the full reveal. Have a feeling M is going to knock this one out of the park. Will definitely be getting one…just not sure I want to dive in right at the start or wait for the LCI. Going to be lots of new tech here so may be worthwhile to wait for the LCI and some of the initial bugs/issues to be worked out.

It's interesting the number of insecure people in here who are worried that electric cars will make them look less manly or something, so need to make sure everyone knows that EVs aren't for them, lol

I used to work at a steel mill where electric motors and gearboxes the size of a tiny house crushed steel from several inches thick into several millimeters thick. Nothing symbolizes extreme raw power more to me than powerful electric motors. But to each their own!

Thats the irony isn't it? More torque than a diesel, more responsive than gasoline.

It seems like BMW is going about it the right way. 4 motors with adequate power and computer control is the ultimate solution for putting power down and for torque vectoring.

Im not too into the fake sound bit; but at this point most of the ICE noises are manufactured as well (burbles and pops that have nothing to do with performance). And thats after you disable the enhanced engine sound they already put through the speakers.

I watched this on my phone and pumped the sound through the car speakers. That EV ICE/hybrid sound they've got going made the cheesy Bose system in my Nissan sound fantastic hahaha

Best thing about the M series EV is you don’t have to listen to that putrid sounding exhaust we have had now for 10+ years. Also don’t have to try to convince yourself it doesn’t sound that bad or tell people , I really like how it sounds. ( Teddy Ruxpin ) Finally an M car that doesn’t like like complete dog shit. Good job BMW. Maybe they can throw in a fake gear shifter from a Civic so we can finally have a good feeling manual to. Just go all in baby. Like in some blow-off sounds and turbo whine. I’m getting a chub just thinking about it
