No brown interior at all? That doesn’t bode well for the i3M? iM3? Mi3?
Just M3. Not clear how they will officially distinguish from the ICE M3, but both are just called M3.

Agree, the iX3 was even worse. But 90% of those on the road will be grey anyways

Just saw that after 2028. i3 will be made in Mexico. Not sure how German that is anymore. Yes M2 is made there. Just something about being 100% made in Germany 🇩🇪 feels right. Yes Xs are Assembled in the United States that’s probably why there are quality control issues happening with a new generation X3.

If you bought a G20 in the past 4 years in the US, it was almost certainly also made in Mexico.

Looks dumpy, with a dull interior and not liking the wonky ipad look. I hope the G50 is more in keeping with the expected premium look.

Some photos of the white version.
I read two reports now that range isn’t 440 and is 560. Which is it?

I’m trying to see the benefit of a sedan over the ix3. I think style wise the ix3 is a much more impressive looking car for the money. But if this i3 can drive 560 miles- well there’s a case to fall in love with the i3 for the practical reasons.

You all know once you buy something you learn to love the looks and quirks that seem so offending when you are first checking things out.

440mi is based on the US EPA test. 560mi is based on the EU WLTP test. General consensus seems to be that the former is generally more accurate for most cases (especially in the US, where we do much more highway driving).

The basic colour and interior trim selector for the NA0 i3 is now available on the BMW UK Website:

I like the white interior. Not a big fan of the green or red, though. Then again, I’m just a fuddy duddy and generally go with conventional colors.

To be fair only the midrange 50 is revealed (funny how 470hp is midrange) - the M60 and Full M are coming later and i'd bet my nuts they will have fun colors

Well...
I'm having a hard time to understand what they really wanted to tell us with this design. Why?
Do I like what I'm looking at ? No.

Will the non-electric versions of 3 look different ?

The ICE version of this will look pretty much the same. Bit different proportions through a longer hood though.

There are spy shots of both Ice and EV 3 series being tested and the Ice model has longer hood, so presumably if shots are of different cars that otherwise very similar the proportions of the ICE car will be a bit different at the front with new fenders and longer hood, but otherwise sam front bumper and same car A pillar backwards.

So that means M3 will be different to IM3 although they might just make the ICE version of M3 be the electic one too to pack in more batteries or smth.

I have an i4 in Dravit Grey and I really don't like the colour (it was the only model that I could get with the upgraded HK stereo). I'd likely spring for an i3 with white exterior with an Agove Green interior.
I put a deposit down for an 50xDrive yesterday. Not that it makes a difference, but my dealer told me that I will be their first customer to get one.

I don't see toggles on the vent grills. Are they aimed via the touchscreen? :mad0259:

I'm not sure if I like the unconnected toggle in the current 2gc or touchscreen controls worse.

At least they haven't "ergonomically redesigned" the shifter stalk like Audi yet? I guess thats a win?

I quite like the burnt orange interior color - not sure how I feel about they crayon LED lights shining through a fabric screen. . . I do not think I will ever grow to prefer this interior to the design language of 2020 where buttons and touch screens lived in harmony.

The ICE edition being a little longer will fix the stubbyness of the side profile (and the hood apparently is slightly less sharp angled).

I know they went back and forth about using the vertical kidneys like in ix3 - apparently it looked "too retro." I can't help but think this looks "too modern slabby" without them - 2002 BMW heritage would not have been a bad thing.

I don't totally hate the exterior it just looks kind of "plain." I am really not a fan of the line on the hood between the hood and bumper and how it varies in width - that exemplifies the blocky/stubbyness of the car and adds too much square versus round.

I do agree it will be interesting to see it dressed up a bit with m and m sport kit.

How can you hate the best color of all time. 🤷🏾‍♂️😀
I love my Dravit Grey i4. I wish the i3 had it. Not a fan of any green car although in the right light this green could appear greyish
